Axel Disasi’s post-Middlesbrough interview uncovers Chelsea error by Sky Sports

Disasi and Madueke both played a pivotal role in Chelsea’s 6-1 victory over Boro, securing their spot in the Carabao Cup final. After the match, Disasi and Cole Palmer were chosen to do the post-match interview with Sky. Disasi’s goal in the first half helped Chelsea take a commanding 3-0 lead. Palmer was named man of the match, and Disasi was tasked with presenting him the trophy. However, there was a mistake during the interview, as Madueke’s name appeared on screen instead of Disasi’s.

In the interview, Disasi expressed his happiness with the team’s performance and their qualification for the final. He mentioned that it would be his first time at Wembley and he was excited about the opportunity. Disasi also spoke about the team’s determination and their need to maintain a winning mentality in the league.

The game itself was dominated by Chelsea, who scored four goals in the first half. They equalized the aggregate score with a Jonny Howson own goal, took the lead through Enzo Fernandez, and added a third goal with Disasi’s strike. Palmer then scored twice, and Madueke added another goal to seal the victory. Boro’s Morgan Rogers scored a consolation goal late in the match.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino acknowledged that the final would be difficult, as they would face either Fulham or Liverpool, two strong teams. However, he emphasized the importance of belief and confidence in their ability to win. Pochettino also mentioned the motivating factor of having players close to returning from injury, who would be eager to train and contribute to the team’s success.
