Jose Mourinho podría fichar a cinco exjugadores del Chelsea para reunir al grupo nuevamente

Chelsea fans called for Jose Mourinho during their 4-2 defeat against Wolves. The team is in chaos after the loss and there are calls to replace Mauricio Pochettino with Jose Mourinho.

A potential third spell at Stamford Bridge for the Portuguese manager is being considered as a way to elevate the team back among the Premier League’s elite. Supporters were heard chanting for Mourinho during the weekend’s loss, and it seems that appointing the recently-sacked former Roma boss would not be an unpopular choice.

Despite spending over £300m on defensive reinforcements since the summer of 2022, Chelsea still looks shaky in defense, conceding eight goals in a week – four against Wolves and four against Liverpool. The sale of Fikayo Tomori to AC Milan was controversial among fans, and the 26-year-old has since performed well in Italy.

A return to the Premier League would be enticing. Chelsea has the option to buy Tammy Abraham back from Roma if they pay £69.5m.

The striker performed well under Mourinho in Rome and could be an excellent addition to their forward line, especially with the team struggling for goals. Thibaut Courtois, who was brought in by Mourinho during his time at Chelsea, could provide vital quality in goal for the team.

Ola Aina, a former Chelsea academy graduate, would provide much-needed depth at full-back. He could be open to returning to the club given his current situation at Nottingham Forest.

Lastly, bringing back Willian, who has been rejuvenated at Fulham under Mourinho acolyte Marco Silva, would bring experience and quality in wide areas to the team.
